The Complete Claude Certified Developer - Foundations Course
On Udemy
About this course
The Claude Certified Developer, Foundations (CCDV-F) exam doesn't test whether you've heard of the Claude API. It tests whether you know the correct call, the correct config, and the correct way to handle an error when things go wrong in production. This course is built to get you there.
Every module maps directly to the eight domains in the official CCDV-F Exam Guide, and study time is weighted the same way the exam is. Applications and Integration makes up about a third of the exam, so it gets about a third of the course. That means real depth on the Messages API, the Python, streaming, rate limits, retries, and error handling. Smaller domains get focused, efficient coverage so you spend your time where the marks are.
What's covered
Applications and Integration: building on the Messages API, streaming, error paths, and retry logic
Model Selection and Optimisation: choosing the right model, prompt caching, batch processing, and cutting token costs
Agents and Workflows: agentic loops, multi-step workflows, and knowing when an agent is the wrong choice
Prompt and Context Engineering: system prompts, prefilling, structured outputs, and managing conversation history
Tools and MCP: function calling and connecting Claude to external systems through the Model Context Protocol
Security and Safety: prompt injection defence, guardrails, and handling user data safely
Claude Code, plus Eval, Testing, and Debugging
How the course teaches
Each lesson builds the intuition first, then walks through real code on screen line by line. You won't just see what a parameter does. You'll learn why that value and not another, because that's exactly what the exam asks.
Every lesson ends with an Exam Trap, where you'll see the distractor answer that looks right and learn why it loses, followed by an Exam Check that sums up the one thing to remember.
