Coordinating Production Multi-Agent Solutions with A2A
On Udemy
About this course
WHEN AGENTS CROSS BOUNDARIES, COORDINATION BECOMES THE JOBConnecting agents is not the same as coordinating them safely in production.
True A2A delegation begins when one agent requests an outcome while a remote agent retains control over how the work gets done. That independence introduces ownership, trust, deployment, state, security, and failure boundaries that ordinary tool calls and internal subagents do not have.
You need more than a successful request. You need discovery contracts, durable task state, idempotent retries, validated results, explicit cancellation semantics, actionable failures, and a recovery plan for uncertain outcomes.
This course shows you how A2A supports delegation across independent agent boundaries. You will also learn where MCP fits, how the protocols can work together, and what responsibilities remain with the teams operating each side of the interaction.
MODULE WALKTHROUGH
The course contains one focused module, Coordinating Production Multi-Agent Solutions with A2A, organized into five progressive lessons.
In What A2A Is For (and Isn't), you begin by identifying what makes an interaction true agent-to-agent delegation. You will examine control, ownership, autonomy, trust boundaries, opaque internals, AgentCard discovery, and the protocol objects that enable coordination.
In MCP vs. A2A, you learn to choose a protocol based on ownership, policies, deployment, state, and security boundaries. You will see how MCP supports controlled tools and resources, while A2A supports independently operated agents. You will also explore how both can form complementary layers.
In Task Lifecycle & Persistence, you move into the reliability patterns behind production A2A interactions. You will work through durable task IDs, checkpoints, idempotent retries, schema validation, business acceptance, cancellation, streaming, polling, and final-state reconciliation.
