About this course

AI is changing the way we code. In this course, you’ll learn how to work with that change using Claude Code, an agentic coding tool that lives in your terminal and fits naturally into a real development workflow.

You'll create custom slash commands to automate common tasks, build custom hooks to connect to Claude Code's lifecycle, and adopt a spec-driven workflow that keeps you in control as projects grow. We’ll also extend Claude beyond the codebase using MCP servers to interact with external sources and API's - like Firebase, Figma and Context7.

You'll learn about skills, to teach Claude Code how to code your way, and how to install plugins to extend Claude Code's capabilities.

You’ll create subagents to handle focused tasks - like design extraction and code reviews - and integrate Claude directly with GitHub to review pull requests and work independently on issues. You'll also be using Claude Code on the web - a cloud platform allowing us to spin up coding tasks remotely, continuing to work while you're not at your desk. Finally, we'll deploy the app using Vercel, and spin up tasks remotely using Claude Code for the web, previewing those features live before they're merged into the production branch.
