Build confidence in Claude-powered application architecture and prepare for the Claude Certified Architect – Foundations exam. You’ll progress from concepts to production design with ShopAssist AI as a running project. Throughout the course, you’ll explore: Architecture Foundations: Connect Claude, APIs, applications, tools, and agentic workflows while separating model responsibilities from application control. Claude API and Conversations: Make requests, manage multi-turn history, shape behavior with system prompts, and evaluate outputs through code, model, and human review. Tools and Structured Output: Design JSON Schema contracts, use tool_choice and tool_use, validate meaning, retry extraction errors, and route uncertainty to review. MCP and Agent Orchestration: Build scoped tools, handle failures, coordinate agents, pass context deliberately, enforce gates and handoffs, and preserve state. Claude Code Workflows: Apply Git, repository instructions, reusable skills, planning, tests, and CI/CD reviews. By the end, you’ll be able to choose proportionate architectures and build reliable Claude workflows that preserve context, provenance, uncertainty, and human oversight.
