Artificial Intelligence for Beginners: How LLM and AI Works

About this course

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence. The course outline, the explanations, the tool choices and every measured number are my own, and every lecture is shown inside the real tools, with real runs on my own computers and in my own accounts.

Everyone is talking about AI. LLMs, tokens, context windows, agents, open models, local AI. If you nod along without really knowing what the words mean, this course is for you. How AI Works takes you from the words you keep hearing to tools you can actually use, in plain words, with no coding and no maths.

What makes this course different

Every idea is shown inside the real tool it lives in: a chat window answering, a real web page, an installer, a settings screen. You see exactly what you will see on your own screen, not a slide.

Real runs, not made-up examples. Answers, speeds and memory numbers come from models I actually ran on my own RTX 5090 desktop and MacBook Pro, and from real sessions in the tools themselves.

A free option for every paid tool, so you can start without spending anything.123 short lectures of about 3 minutes, each on one idea, in 16 sections and more than 7 hours in total. Watch them in order or jump to the tool you need.

What you will learn

Start here: how the course works and your map of the whole AI landscape.

AI in plain words: AI vs machine learning vs deep learning vs generative AI, what a model is, training vs inference, what an LLM does, tokens, the context window and temperature.

The AI assistants: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Meta AI, Grok, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Qwen Chat, Kimi and Mistral, their plans compared, and which one to use.

What assistants can do now: voice and camera, images, video, deep research, files and RAG, memory and projects, connectors, agents and AI in the browser.
