AI Ethics & Responsible AI: For Business Leaders & Managers
On Udemy
About this course
If you lead a team, run a function or sign off on tools, somewhere under you there is an AI system that nobody in the building built.
It screens applications, or ranks tickets, or drafts replies to customers. It came with a contract, a login and a set of claims. Somebody signed for it, possibly you. And the quiet assumption behind that signature was that the company which made it also carries the risk of it.
That assumption is wrong, and for a manager it is the most expensive wrong assumption in the category.
Obligations attach to the organisation that puts a system in front of people, not only to the one that trained it. If your tool declines an application, the person who was declined is your problem, your reputation and your regulator's interest. And inside your organisation, it is the leader of the function that deployed it who is asked to explain.
This course teaches that from nothing, for people whose job is deciding, not coding.
You do not need a legal background. You do not need a technical one. You do not need to know what a proxy variable is, or what disaggregated evaluation means, or which framework anybody uses. Every term is defined the moment it is first used, in plain language, before anything is built on it.
Twenty five short lessons take you through it. Why this is a risk subject a leader owns rather than a philosophy seminar. What literacy duties now apply to the staff you manage. What being a deployer means and what it costs. Where harm actually comes from, and why bias almost never enters through the obvious door. How to test for bias without writing a line of code, using a spreadsheet your team already has. Why you cannot satisfy every definition of fairness at once, and which trade off you are therefore choosing and should record. What the rules prohibit outright. What you must disclose. What to do when staff bring their own tools, when agents act on your behalf, and when nobody can say who approved anything.
